HISTORICAL REVIEW<\/span><\/h3>\n

It belongs to Confraternity La Samaritana and, by motive of participating in the Holy Thursday\u2019s procession, under presidency of Mr. Antonio Verd\u00fa Fern\u00e1ndez, it is founded as Brotherhood in 2003. It is ordered a new paso to the local sculptor Mr. Mariano Spiteri.
\nThey took part, for the first time, in the 2004 procession, naming as Brotherhood\u2019s first president to Mr. Antonio Santos Moreno. The statue is blessed in the ground-floors at El P\u00f3sito that same afternoon on Holy Thursday, by the area\u2019s Vicar Reverend Mr. Jos\u00e9 Alberto de C\u00e1novas. Currently it is being exhibited at the Jumilla\u2019s Easter Week Museum.<\/p>\n

ICONOGRAPHY<\/span><\/h3>\n

It represents the moment that Jes\u00fas is stripped of His vestments for receiving the tremendous punishment of lashes. Jes\u00fas, with His half naked body, waits beside the column where He will be fastened for receiving the enormous sanction.<\/p>\n

AUTHOR<\/span><\/h3>\n

It is a carving from 2003. A work by the sculptor and restorer Mariano Spiteri from Jumilla, who counts with works distributed by all the Murcian geography and Spain places and, of course, in Jumilla, like the already known Beso de Judas, Coronaci\u00f3n de Espinas, etc, and wonderful restorations as El Resucitado, Cristo Yacente, Virgen Gloriosa and the sculptoric group of La Samaritana.<\/p>\n

THRONE<\/span><\/h3>\n

The new throne from 2011, was made by the work\u2019s own sculptor Mariano Spiteri, in wood. It is of rectangular shape of about three metres times two and a half, with adornments, everything in gold. Sixteen candelabrums with lampshades and candles for its illumination. The platform by Salmer\u00f3n, velvet skirts very similar to the tunic cape\u2019s colour. It can march over wheels so as over shoulders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Tunic<\/h3>

Of bone-white virgin wool, adhered with a maroon franciscan cord and cape in the same colour. The hood is of the same cloth and colour than tunic. For carrying the Cruz Alzada and lanterns, they were made three tunics (2012), composed by the official one without cape, and in its place, a short cloak and a sash in the same colour than cape. In 2014, two new ones of Acolytes.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
