HISTORY<\/p>\n
The Brotherhood Santa M\u00aa Magdalena was founded in 1882 by Mr. Miguel Jim\u00e9nez, being the main image a sculpture by the Murcian S\u00e1nchez Araciel.
\nThe primitive image was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War so, in 1943 it is ordered the current one to the Valencian sculptor Ignacio Pinazo, funded by the brothers, and it walks for the first time in 1944. In 1952 Pinazo also sculpts the throne.
\nIn 1983 it is reorganised by Mr. Adolfo Jim\u00e9nez, beginning this new period with 17 brothers.
\nFrom 1986 they take part in the Manolas’ procession on Holy Thursday.
\nIn 1994 S.A.R.D. Felipe de Borb\u00f3n is named Honorary President. The title of \u2018Royal\u2019 was given by His Majesty the King Felipe VI in 2019.<\/p>\n
