RESE\u00d1A HIST\u00d3RICA<\/span><\/h3>\n

The image is ordered and defrayed by the Molina Guill\u00e9n family in 1946. As presentation of the work, it was showed in the National Modern Art Museum in Madrid, from the 18 February to 2 March 1946. It walked for the first time in the early morning on Good Friday in 1960, as procession of the penitents or Procession of the Silence and which stayed during six years. In 1971 it starts again the procession with the off of the electric light in the itinerary and the illumination is given by the bonfires on the corners of the itinerary. In June 1978 it is definitely integrated as Brotherhood inside the bossom of the Central Board of Easter.<\/p>\n

INSIGNIAS DESTACADAS<\/span><\/h3>\n

Guide Lanterns:<\/strong> lanterns of silversmithing made in the workshops of Hermanos Mar\u00edn D\u00edaz from Sevilla (1989).
\nGuide-Crucifix:<\/strong> it was acquired to Taller de Restauraci\u00f3n de la Conferencia Episcopal Espa\u00f1ola in 1992. Polychromed by Mr Francisco Berlanga from \u00c1vila and the Cross by Mr. Juli\u00e1n S\u00e1nchez, both from Sevilla.<\/p>\n

ICONOGRAF\u00cdA<\/span><\/h3>\n

It represents the death of Christ on the Cross. The art critic Antonio Oliver said: \u201c\u2026although fixed on the cross, this Christ is on purity, already in Heaven\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

AUTOR<\/span><\/h3>\n

Jos\u00e9 Planes Pe\u00f1alver, born in Espinardo on the 23th December 1891. In 1932 he won the Sculpture National Award. In 1933 he founded the Trade and Arts School in Murcia. In 1960 he is named academician in Fine Arts in San Fernando and in Alfonso X el Sabio.<\/p>\n

TRONO<\/span><\/h3>\n

The first andas and crosses are made by the cabinetmaker Roque Pastor. Standard<\/h3>

The design belongs to Mr Jos\u00e9 T\u00e9var Garc\u00eda and it is made in the embroidery workshops of Mr Jos\u00e9 Romero Ben\u00edtez, from Sevilla (1989).
