HISTORICAL REVIEW<\/span><\/h3>\n

It replaced a previous one, which walked in the first decades of the 80\u2019s, a group of Salvador Palao from Jumilla. It is a splendid work by the sculptor and religious images carver Mr Francisco Lim\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Faculties:<\/strong> silvered with jewels of the Sant\u00edsimo Cristo de Pasi\u00f3n (1999).
\nCrown:<\/strong> It is a piece from the 19th century in silver.<\/p>\n

ICONOGRAPHY<\/span><\/h3>\n

It is a group composed by three figures that represents the encounter among Christ carrying the cross, standing, His mother, on her knees, and Saint John the Evangelist on Amargura Street.<\/p>\n

AUTHOR<\/span><\/h3>\n

Mr Francisco Lim\u00f3n Parra, was born in Villanueva del Ariscal. When he was 16 years-old, he started his career as sculptor and religious images carver. He himself is considered a self-taught, following the classic tradition from the 16th and 17th centuries. His works about Christ and Mary, are based in the traditional canons.<\/p>\n

THRONE<\/span><\/h3>\n

Made in the Workshops Orovio de la Torre in Ciudad Real, according to the design of Jos\u00e9 T\u00e9var Garc\u00eda. Base in concave slope upholstered in black, on its bottom it stands out a trimmed theory of sheets of silvery metal, with rythm of discontinuous sizes, making a sensation of special and measured dinamism in its outfit. This body rises over another one more narrow, of straight and perpendicular section, all of it covered by decreased and cheerful metal flora, laced on black bottom. This throne is illuminated by candelabra of silvery windscreens with purple wax.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Tunic<\/h3>

It is made in black-colour wool, on the hood it is embroidered the Confraternity\u2019s shield and on the tunic, a special Dalmatian of mixed lines embroidered in nuanced silks on both sides, with cartridges containing the Passion atributes.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Standard<\/h3>

a great piece of brocades, all its area is concluded in its lower part by tongues of trimmed lines, of uneven and dynamic rythm, as the throne of the main image and the anderas\u2019 tunics, it is traversed by a dense and full ornamentation of vegetal volutes embroidered in gold and which are traced by fine flowers (jasmines) embroidered in silver that illuminate the outfit, in whose centre it stands out a medallion with an oil painting about the Calvary\u2019s way.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
